Using a primitive cooking technique, the ASJ-063 gives meat and poultry an intense flavour and an attractive golden-brown colour. The rotation of each spit rod on its own axis allows food to remain wrapped in its own juices and prevents food from drying out. The upper guillotine door maintains the temperature and allows for show cooking, and the temperature controlled drawers allow food to be kept warm until ready to serve. The unit is easily cleaned, thanks to the removable grease trays and ash drawer.

A typical preventative service on the ASJ-063 includes the cleaning and inspection of the combustion area, fire grates, rotating components, and a general operational check of the unit. The components most commonly subject to wear, depending on the intensity of use, are the fire grates and the drive head bushes, which should be periodically inspected and replaced when necessary.
The recommended maintenance frequency depends on the intensity of use. For restaurants the use the ASJ-130 as their primary cooking equipment and operate it intensively, a preventative maintenance service is typically recommended every six months. For normal use, an annual preventative maintenance service is generally sufficient.
