Thursday, 15 July 2010 08:27

East Glos Club, situated not far from Cheltenham town, at the foot of Leckhampton Hill, celebrates 125 year history with it's new courts looking good and new caterers Ginger Jam providing bar meals for hungry members and guests, during the day and in the evening, 7 days a week.

Catering at the club has gone from strength to strength, originating in 1909 with the opening of a Tea Pavillion, through 1967 with the building of the new clubhouse, 2002 with an extension to the clubhouse housing the kitchen and finally to 2010 with the change from gas cooking equipment to induction cooking technology.

With the aid of a Carbon Trust Interest Free Loan the club decided to replace old, condemned gas cooking equipment, with an energy efficient i-hob induction cooking station, manufactured by Target, together with a Blue Seal convection oven and grill to compliment the Rational SelfCooking Center®, that even cleans itself at the end of service.  The Club will now start to enjoy energy savings in the kitchen, with this latest induction cooking technology.

Now ready to cater for functions and events, the Ginger Jam team look forward to summer BBQ's and the winter party season, to help boost social memberships at this long established club in Cheltenham.

Ginger Jam also caters for outside functions and events, you can even purchase your BBQ steaks and kebabs, marinated to Tammy's secret recipe, readily prepared for cooking yourself, by prior order from the club kitchen.
