It has now been recognised that fumes from gas fired cooking appliances could give the chef cancer.
Following research from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, comparing gas and electric cooking methods, it has been found that gas produces higher levels of the cancer-causing fumes. The International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified these cooking fumes as "probably carcinogenic".

Target's energy efficient, powerful and controllable i-hob induction hobs combined in cooking stations with Rational's SelfCooking Center and Blue Seal's convection oven offer a safe cooking alternative to the professional chef concerned about these latest findings.
For further information about these findings you can visit the NHS Choices website alternatively contact Target Catering Equipment and come along to our demonstration kitchen and test the performance of the latest induction technology for yourself.
