Service Spines - Service Manifolds

An important part of an efficient well planned kitchen is an integral service manifold or service spine.

Within this stucture, which is usually planned as an island, can be located most, if not all of the associated services for the benches and equipment situated around it.  Apart from the obvious aesthetic improvements to the appearance of the kitchen, this also improves maintenance by grouping services together.

Service manifolds are often used in conjunction with extraction canopies, the canopy being supported by the manifold and again the services running through the manifold.
