AUGUST 2009 KITCHEN VENTILATION SYSTEM - SERVICE MANIFOLD As part of the school's future investment program and healthy living strategy the school kitchen is undergoing a transformation to improve work flow and efficiency.
The new island extraction canopy and service manifold is the back bone for future investment and energy efficient equipment.

Gas is currently being used, however electricity is the prefered energy source for future plans. The new dual fuel service manifold has a seperate 3 phase electrical distribution system ready for the latest energy efficient cooking equipment, including SelfCooking Centers from Rational, i-hob induction hobs from Target Catering Equipment, QTS grills from Hatco and Air-O-Convect convection ovens from Electrolux.
The school has recognised that by investing in energy saving catering kitchen equipment they will reduce their expenditure on the energy bills of the future.
