Dishwasher And Glass Wash Area Upgrade

The Tudor Arms Country Pub near Slimbridge is the haunt of many twitchers, including the famous Bill Oddie.  When landlady, Rita, decided it was time to upgrade her dishwasher and glass washing area, she called in the Target Team who redesigned and transformed the existing inefficient area into a hygienic and practical space.

The old units were removed and the room was transformed with altro flooring and a complete redecoration with epoxy resin paint to walls and ceilings forming a protective hygienic shell for the new dishwasher system.

The electrical system was upgraded to comply with the latest 17th edition IEE regulations along with new plumbing to IPHE commercial standards, ready for the newly designed, bespoke stainless steel dish and glass washing and clearing system manufactured by Target Catering Equipment.

The old inefficient glass washer was replaced with a DC-070IWS-A glass washer with integral water softener, break tank and rinse boost pump to comply with WRAS requirements. This overcomes the problem caused when water supply companies reduce incoming pressures to conserve water which causes many old machines to malfunction due to lack of water pressure.

Rita loves the clean and efficient operation that her new dishwash area provides, she will also be making an annual saving to her energy bills of between £350 -£400 as the new dishwasher has a wash tank which is smaller than normal dishwasher water tanks and therefore requires less energy to heat the smaller amount of water.

Rita said "Target has created so much extra space by re-designing and re-organising the area that we now have enough space to fit in our bean to cup coffee machine and have created a tea, coffee and beverage preparation area as well."
