The Talgarth Mill project, revitalising and restoring a Grade II, 18th century derelict water mill, headed by "village champion" Dr Anne Hillyer and working with local building contractors Osborne Builders, called on Target Catering Equipment to help design and install the kitchen for their cafe and bakery.

Working around building contrators and film crews, as Sarah Beeny filmed the latest Village SOS series for BBC TV, Target Catering Equipment installed the kitchen.  The commercial kitchen ventilation system, incorporating odour control systems had to be specially designed to utilise the existing chimney flue in the Grade II listed building.

Incorporating a La Spaziale Espresso coffee machine and Lincat water boiler, the coffee and beverage station was manufactured by Target Catering Equipment at their Gloucester factory.  Gram energy efficient refrigeration was chosen and installed, with it's 5 year warranty this eco friendly refrigeration will compliment the other energy efficient electric catering equipment in the kitchen at Talgarth Mill.

Alongside Talgarth Mill's traditional wood burning oven, Target Catering Equipment's induction hobs and electric ovens will provide energy efficient cooking options for the commercial kitchen.

Working to a tight time schedule, Target Catering Equipment loaned catering equipment from their own working demonstration kitchen to get the kitchen at Talgarth Mill operational in time for filming of the opening of the cafe and bakery and before building works had been completed to allow the documentary series to catch the moment for this inspirational BBC TV Series.

The leading episode of Village SOS, showing the Talgarth Mill project, will be live on BBC1 at 20.00 on Wednesday 10th August 2011.

Target Catering Equipment are proud to have been associated with the Talgarth Mill project and wish the community project all the very best for the future.
