Cooking Stations Aid Cookery Teaching At Primary School

Birchen Coppice Primary School in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, a state of the art, sustainable school and community facility with eco features including a grass roof and biomass energy production system, recently added to its buildings sustainable energy profile with energy efficient induction cooking stations.

Designed and built by Target Catering Equipment, these mobile, multi functional, cookery teaching units will give staff, pupils and parents the opportunity of learning to cook and improve their cooking skills using this new facility. The mobile cooking stations can be used in any classroom or shared space as required, they are easily moved on heavy duty castors and only require a 13 amp plug to power the in built induction hobs.

Along with two stacked, multi use Blue Seal Turbofan ovens which are mounted on a mobile trolley and only require 13 amp plugs and sockets, the cooking stations provide a simple but effective way of teaching cooking and will enable all students to "Reach For The Stars" when it comes to learning to cook at Birchen Coppice.

"The service I have received from Target Catering Equipment has been second to none.  From the initial site visit David Pedrette understood exactly what I was trying to deliver and helped me come up with a practical design for the cooking stations I needed that delivered maximum flexibility.

The delivery staff were very helpful, gave an excellent demonstration of the equipment and even removed the packing material from site.

We are delighted with the finished product which looks superb and is incredibly easy to manoeuvre.  I would not hesitate in recommending Target Catering Equipment"
